This is hecking amazing so far! I love it! Reminds me so much of older JRPGs, like Breath of Fire. Although I only vaguely remember playing 3 and 4, though.

If I could give my suggestions/opinions, there could be a button meant for dashing/running, and there could also be a separate animation for characters defending if that's possible.

edit: Golden Sun too, I forgot to mention that. It really reminds me of a number of JRPGs I've played.

I don't have funds to contribute to kickstarter, but every sharing and word-of-mouth will hopefully grab everyone attention, especially someone with deep pocket and money to burn.

This quiet the fresh plot. You got solid plans, you already anticipate the funds. Wish luck favors you, cause everyone will really need it.

Amazing, brilliant, fantastic!

Okay wow this was honestly one of the greatest games I've played! The story just pulled me in and the characters are so lovable, just everything is perfect. I can't wait for the full game!

I don't know if you've heard of Game Development World Championship before (gdwc2019) but it's a competition for indie game developers where they can submit their games and it's free! It's great if you want some more visibility for the game and it only takes a couple of minutes to join :)

this is BRILLIANT, I wish I have half the graphics and animation quality this demo has :D

This is incredibly well done. The art is awesome.

Best pixel game i ever played, if you in these cind of games just download it, you wont loose anything.

This is incredible! The game pulled me in with its likable characters, the emotional story, and the colorful settings. I like how it was cheery and nice in the opening, but then it went serious and moving later on. I’ve backed  you on Kickstarter and I hope your campaign succeeds!

Wow - great demo! Definitely managed to pull me in with story, gameplay and art. I look forward to playing the finished item with all the bells and whistles.

This was really interesting and you, in the span of less than 15 minutes, you managed to make me feel really, really bad, and genuinely terrified. The way the characters are somehow expressive without really showing it, especially Verm after the "One Season Later" card, is very interesting for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes and I'm definitely considering helping fund this project, which would make it the first Kickstarter I'd donate to. One criticism I have, though, is the world. The world feels very lifeless, especially being that the only mice you meet are three big asshats. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there should definitely be a few more NPCs in the underground area, some friendly characters would instantly make the world more lively. Also, more moving parts would be nice, some animated bugs or something. More difference in the bricks, maybe moss growing in a few places, etc. Right now the world, visually, is just unbelievable.

P.S. the opening is awesome

This is literally one of the best rpg games that i've ever played in my life, please make more.I just loved it.

Very good!

I can't help but being reminded of Genesis games. The palette, perspective and even the refresh scan distortion.

No other game has ever made me feel like a swiss army knife is so badass. 10/10

Awesome demo! Loved it. Really hope your Kickstater succeed.

Loved the music in this! Who composed this?
I don't suppose that yellow god would be named Jessie by chance?

wow i'm hooked. i hope all goes well for the kickstarter, i will be watching and will try to donate if i have the money.

This is so cute!! The art is lovely and the music is reminiscent of Final Fantasy XII! I love this!

Edit: After actually playing it (though I'm only a few minutes in), this game was clearly inspired by FF and I'm in LOOOVE. I adore how you chose to go with a much kinder, less toxic narrative by having Lance reassure Verm that "all mice [feel fear]," instead of what is usually to be expected, that an older brother would make fun of or mock a younger brother for being afraid.

Edit 2: OMG, THE 6-STICK "S" ON THE WALL. (y'know, the one we all drew in middle school/high school)

Edit 3: NOOOO LAAAAANNNCCEEEEEEEE

This is seriously such a great game. Got me emotionally invested so quickly. Excited for the kickstarter launch!!

Edit 4: (wow, this must be annoying, sorry!) Saw on the website that a Mac version is "possible later." :c Do you know about how much later?

Fantastic game,  can't wait for the kickstarter!

Great demo! Can't wait for the Kickstarter to launch.

Hey man i really love the game, the art is so good, the universe and narrative are impressive, congratulations!

This game is amazing, something that hasn't been done before.  I think that this game is a great idea.

( it is sad through how the main character loses his brother)

This is an incredibly high quality demo. Everything about it is pitch-perfect. I'll be there on the first day of the Kickstarter.

I am impressed. No, I am actually very impressed with this. From the standpoint of the demo, it is nearly flawless. My only (small) critic, (or perhaps suggestion) is more character building between the mice. While the scene with the "god" was framed exceptionally well, I feel this could have left a stronger impact if the player had a better connection with the mice. More time to get to know them and their connection would do much good, but perhaps you already have this planned?

That was amazing. I loved the way you really get the scope right in the graphics. The characters, are already amazing, even with the short time we get to spend with them. The scene with Lance really got to me, well done. I'll be a supporter of this game for sure.

I'm buying this the first day it gets released.

Well, this was all manners of incredible. I love how something stands out in pretty much all aspects — dynamic changes in music (and three different motifs for the rats), the subtle nods to various RPGs (Final Fantasy, Shining Force, what else?), creative use of traditional mechanics, crispy pixel fonts, deep sound effects, witty writing, the birth of sacred out of mundane (thank you for rewarding my rebellious itch with that helmet), how even the passing detail of wall scribbles tells a foreboding story (gotta give Stilton credit, his Cool S also made me giggle)... Not even mentioning the overall aesthetic of mice battling it out for their lives against the divine. Unavoidably reminds me of Brian Jacques' Redwall and David Petersen's Mouse Guard—some things this world has nearly not enough appreciation for.

This small thing is no little. I am happy to discover this and wish you the best of success on this journey!

wow this is awesome, will it be available for linux?

This is so good! Looking forward to the Kickstarter!

Very good, unfortunately I got stuck behind the chest near the  hole with heaven sign. I opened the chest while I was between the wall and the chest, then I was unable to move.

Sorry about that, but thanks for letting me know. I'll make a fix soon.
